Right…I’m home…after a nice trip…home?

It’s nice to be home, or was I home? I”m not sure, either way it’s nice to be back in oz after spending the last two and a half weeks in England.

Really enjoyed my trip to the UK though, lovely to see everyone and eat some greatly missed meals. Toad in the hole springs to mind! Was quite a busy trip home, multiple nights out in wokingham and reading, a trip up to see the lovely people in hertfordshire, a day out in London and of course the wedding. You can see my wedding pics by clicking here (Okay, I didn’t take too many pics, and yes I am too lazy to rotate the ones that are wrong).

It was weird being home, and now it’s weird being back! But all good weird. The flight back was okay, apart from being thrown up on by a child about an hour in to the first flight, which had already been delayed followed by being priority rushed from one flight to the second which was sat there waiting for me. 7 Hours to Dubai then directly rushed on to a 14hour flight and not managing to sleep on either. A tad boring, but heyho, I got a years worth of films and TV in!

We’ve been trying to come up with some sort of plan for oz, it’s quite hard. I think the current plan is to share a hire car on the way up to Brisbane with a night in Byron Bay with some English people we know, meet some more folk for the Ashes then fly to Cairns to work our way back down the east coast back to Sydney for new years for sure, not too sure about Christmas just yet. We’ll see! Then maybe go to another big city for a while, Perth or Melbourne? Maybe both, who knows!

Woke up at 5:45am today, jet lag is massively lame, sat on the roof and watched some TV and chatted to people in the UK. FunFunFun.

Time for work now, I promise there will be more posts when we actually do things, theres only so many pics of us drinking goon on the roof I can post. Friends have just got a nice house, so party there for Halloween? I think so!

Have good days x

Officially Rubbish – Sorry!

For the first time, i’ve actually been too busy to write on this blog; since my past post we’ve gone to the wildlife centre, been up the sydney tower, driven to the blue mountains and newcastle, played taxi to the airport, did a days manual labour work, been out for nights out and still had time to drink the lovely goon.

You can see pictures of some of the things i’ve been doing here at here

The problem with staying in a hostel is, it’s always someones last night who’s been here for a while, so you go out so often, or at least drink loads on the roof.

My German is getting amazing, with phrases like your mum and son of a bitch, how can you go wrong?

I’m off to an agency on Monday who rang me up, they deal with office type jobs I think, all temp work so lets hope that goes well as we are spending a lottttt!

It was fun driving again, even if it was a 1.5 corolla automatic which could never decide what gear it wanted to be in, especially when going up a hill!

Oh oh oh oh, we finally made it to a beach, last Saturday we went to Bondi, weather wasnt amazing, but it was a good laugh. I’m sure we’ll go back there, even though there was a crazy lady dancing and shouting for quite a while.

Anyways, will write a less boring, more detailed post soon – Promise!

Goon and Coon night anyone?

Immature I know, even though i’ve been told by quite a few people before coming that the wine is called Goon and the cheese is called Coon, it does make you laugh reading on your receipt “No tasty coon cheese”.

Things are going well here, we’ve moved in to a new hostel which we’ve booked until next Sunday. It’s a lot nicer than the last one, has a roof terrace which seems to be open all night, the rooms are a lot nicer and the people staying don’t remind you of the league of gentleman.

This is the view from our roof terrace:

Jet lag finally hit us on Thursday with vengeance, we fell asleep at 6:30 or so and I woke up about 4am. Thank god for the internet and some English people online for me to bug or I think i’d of gone mad.

Last night was a nice night, we chilled on the roof terrace drinking beer and chatting to people. Although rich slinked off to bed at about 10:30 moaning about jet lag again.

Currently we’re sat in Hyde Park in Sydney centre after eating some nice baguettes.

Everything here is well expensive, like proper expensive we’re blasting through cash at an alarming rate so we’ve really started to cut down. We cooked some nice pasta in the hostel kitchen last night, wasnt actually bad!

In the current hostel we’re in separate rooms at the moment, Rich ended up with a room with a german guy and a scouser, both seem pretty cool. And I got a room with 3 south koreans that don’t speak english and all they seem to do is sleep. Yay. :-/

We’re going to do all the touristy things next week after the weekend is over, untill then probably mooch around having a look at things we can’t afford.

Tata x
